The Hartford Courant established in 1764, is the oldest U.S. newspaper still being published. Hartford is also considered the insurance capital of the nation.

CT University/Sports
Founded in 1881, The University of Connecticut was originally named the Storrs Agricultural School. The name of the college changed three more times before 1939 when it became the University of Connecticut.

Goodbye Colorado
It's time to hit the road and head east to Connecticut.
I've had a wonderful time re-visiting Colorado. When I lived out west, I traveled and camped in the state quite a bit. One of the most memorable times was tent camping on a cold and rainy weekend with my then two year old daughter and being seven months pregnant with the other...

CO Interesting Facts
Colorado's nickname is the "Centennial State" because it was admitted to the Union in 1876, the centennial year of the U.S. Declaration of Independence.
Colorado was named for the Colorado River by the early Spanish explorers because of the red colored silt the river carried from the mountains.
