On September 5, 1905 at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, the Treaty of Portsmouth was signed. This treaty was the end the Russo-Japanese War.
*Portsmouth Naval Shipyard is actually in Kittery, Maine...but named after the nearby city of Portsmouth, N.H.*
