North Dakota Foods

The buffalo herds on the North Dakota plains were essential to the Native Americans and the early pioneers for survival. The buffalo were hunted for their meat for food and their skins for clothing and shelter.
Durum wheat, barley and livestock play major roles in the state's agricultural industry.
