As an elected member of the United States Congress, Davy Crockett was very much opposed to President Andrew Jackson and his policies. Kathy Bates' great-great grandfather was Andrew Jackson's doctor. Whoa!
Kathleen Doyle Bates aka Kathy Bates, was born in Memphis on June 28, 1948. After graduating college, she moved to New York City in 1970 to pursue acting.
David Crockett was born near Limestone, Greene County on August 17, 1786. While most people only think of him as a frontiersman, Davy Crockett was also a soldier and a politician.
