Hello Idaho!

In March of 1863, Idaho was organized as a territory.  It became the 43rd state in July of 1890.



HI Interesting People and Fact

Barack Obama, the 44th and current President of the United States.  The President was born in Honolulu on August 4, 1961.  He is also the first African American President.




Don Ho, a Hawaiian entertainer was also born in Honolulu. Don is best known for his song "Tiny Bubbles".




Hawaii interesting fact.... Hawaii has the largest (by volume) volcanic mountain in the world - Mauna Loa.

HI Attraction

Pearl Harbor is one of the largest and best natural harbors in the E Pacific Ocean. It was made a naval base in the 1900s after the United States annexed Hawaii. On Dec. 7, 1941, the harbor was attacked without warning by Japanese carrier-based planes.

GA Interesting Fact

Georgia was one of the original seven Confederate states, having seceded in January of 1861.  It was restored to the Union in July of 1870.  It was the last state to do so.

James E. Carter, Jr. (Jimmy), the 39th President of the United States was born in Plains, GA in 1924.

GA Attraction

One of only four barrier islands in Georgia that is paved and accessible by car.  The island has 5,700 acres.  The island is home to the historic Jekyll Island Club that was founded in 1886.
