Wow, It took an extra day, but I made it to Colorado....must have been the travel delays from California!
Time to start exploring the Rocky Mountain state!

Eastern Colorado was received as part of the The Louisana Purchase in 1803.  In 1845 with the admission of Texas as a state, the U.S. received the central part of the territory. Then in 1848 as a result of the Mexican War, the U.S. obtained the western part of Colorado.  It became a state in 1876, the 38th in the union.
