Ozark Mountains - A large portion of The Ozarks cover the northwestern and north central part of  Arkansas. The Ouachita Mountains are part of the "Ozark Mountain Forests (ecoregion)" although they are separate from the Ozarks. This is where Lake Ouachita is.
